Alion

The Alion Red Wine, one of the younger siblings of Vega Sicilia, is a solid wine, maximum expression of the tinto fino grape ripened in the sun and vinified with intelligence. The Duero has contributed materials over time to the Alion soils, the soils have good drainage, with alternating coarse materials, fines and quartzitic gravels.

The grape of the Alion Red Wine has the distinctive character of the Duero, the aging is carried out in new French wood. They employ more modern practices than their predecessors which gives it a radically different character. The Alion Red Wine ages for 14 months in French oak barrels and for 12 months in bottle before commercialization.
